Description
- Product Name
Exterior Wall Insulation Aerogel Coating

- Product Description
The Exterior Wall Insulation Aerogel Coating uses advanced nano-aerogel insulation technology. Compared to traditional insulation materials such as polystyrene boards and rock wool, it is lighter, more efficient, and safer. Its ultra-low thermal conductivity and high reflectivity effectively reduce heat transfer into buildings while preventing wall heat absorption from raising indoor temperatures, thereby enhancing indoor comfort.

- Product Features
- High-Efficiency Insulation:Aerogel particles enhance coating insulation, effectively reducing indoor temperature.
- Excellent Weather Resistance:Suitable for high-temperature, high-humidity, and strong UV areas; maintains color and texture over long-term use.
- Waterproof and Breathable:Hydrophobic, prevents water penetration while allowing vapor to escape, avoiding wall dampness and mold.
- Energy Saving & Eco-Friendly:Reduces air-conditioning energy consumption and building energy use, meeting green building standards.
- Fire-Resistant:Meets B2 flame-retardant standard, improving building safety.
- Design Purpose
Aerogel exterior wall coatings function as finishing or intermediate layers to provide insulation and energy-saving effects. Depending on construction processes, they can also offer textured surfaces and integrate with additional decorative insulation systems.
In regions with long sunlight exposure, a 0.4mm coating can achieve the same insulation effect as 35mm polystyrene boards. In regions with shorter sunlight exposure, the low thermal conductivity of aerogel coatings ensures effective insulation.
- Recommended Application
| Substrate Type | Layer Structure | Notes |
| Leaking Concrete | Substrate + Waterproof Coating + Exterior Wall Aerogel Insulation Coating | Topcoat may include water-in-water, color flat coating, reflective insulation coatings as needed. Rusted metal requires rust conversion. |
| Hollow Concrete | Substrate + Grouting Material + Alkali-resistant Primer + Exterior Wall Aerogel Insulation Coating | – |
| Ordinary Concrete | Substrate + Alkali-resistant Primer + Exterior Wall Aerogel Insulation Coating | – |
| Metal Roof | Substrate + Anti-rust Primer + Exterior Wall Aerogel Insulation Coating | – |
- Application Methods
Preparation:
| Item | Spray | Trowel/Roll |
| Surface Requirement | Free of oil, dust, and loose particles. New walls fully dry, moisture content <14%, pH <10 | |
| Tools | Sprayer, roller, masking tape, mixer, protective mask, suit, harness, helmet, shoes, goggles, protective film | Trowel, scraper, roller, masking tape, mixer, protective mask, suit, harness, helmet, shoes, goggles, protective film |
| Recoat Interval | Wait until first coat dries, generally ≥24h | |
| Conditions | Do not apply if temperature <5°C. Extend recoat time if humidity >85% | |
| Method | Stir with electric mixer ≥1 min before application | |
| Tool Cleaning | Wash promptly with tap water |
Procedure:
| Step | New Concrete | Old Concrete |
| 1 | – | Check walls, remove hollow areas, clean surface contaminants, sand chalking layers, repair corners |
| 2 | – | Apply interface primer by roller |
| 3 | Apply putty leveling (mesh) | – |
| 4 | Apply white/same-color sealing primer (penetrating) 1 layer | – |
| 5 | Spray/brush aerogel insulation coating | – |
| 6 | Roll/spray topcoat (colored or clear) | – |
Precautions:
- Check steel/wood door and window frames for proper positioning and secure connections. Fill gaps with cement-sand mortar in layers.
- Finish door/window frames, scaffold-support walls, and repair areas after curing period. Insufficient curing due to construction schedule may compromise coating quality.
- Wall moisture content <15% (national standard 10%), pH <10 meets application conditions. Measure moisture content using instruments.
- Old surfaces should have intact coatings with good adhesion. Remove loose coatings and contaminants, wash with 20% bleach solution for 48h, rinse, then apply coating. Conduct small-area tests for compatibility and adhesion before full application.
